Lutherdale Bible Camp in Elkhorn, WI, and St. John’s have a strong history together. Hundreds of St. John’s youth and families have spent time at camp over the years. Our quilters donate to their annual quilt auction. This school year alone dozens of our confirmation youth enjoyed a weekend retreat there. The promise of a great time is nearly a guarantee! Lutherdale is the place to be for summer fun that really matters

During the months of April and May we will be asking for donations to assemble Aid/Hospice Kits and Newborn Kits. These will be presented at Synod Assembly (May 5 & 6) on behalf of the St. John’s congregation. If you can donate one item or all, it would be greatly appreciated.

The following items are needed for each Newborn Kit:

1 regular size bath towel

1 36” square muslin or sheeting

1 wash cloth (thin)

1 bath size bar of soap

1 newborn stocking cap – very small

1 small cotton-blend or flannel shirt (to waist only as the babies do not wear diapers)

1 receiving blanket

The following items are needed for each Aide/Hospice Kit:

1 regular bath size bath towel

1 wash cloth

1 bath size bar of soap (wrapped)

1 toothbrush

1 tube of tooth paste

1 large “pick” comb

1 nail clipper

6 Band-Aids

1 jar or tube of petroleum jelly 1 pair heavy duty household gloves (size medium)

1 small devotional booklet
