Each worship service requires a soundboard operator and projectionist.
Soundboard operation involves operating a sound mixer. Start-up involves turning on amplifiers, setting up microphones and setting sound levels prior to the church service. During the service various microphones need to be turned on and off with some sound adjustment. Training is straightforward and not too technical. Operators are called upon every 6-8 weeks to serve in that capacity.
Projectionists are required to operate a computer with pre-loaded “slides” that must be cued in proper order during the worship service. Additional responsibilities may be to periodically create the “slides” for the service. It typically takes about 1 hour to accomplish that task. Operation of the program and sequencing the slides is not a difficult task for those with computer savvy.
If you are interested in either or both teams call the church secretary so she maypass along your interest to the proper parties.
