Constitution and By-laws
The document linked at right contains the amended governing documents as approved at the 2008 Annual Meeting. In accordance with the ELCA Model Constitution for Congregations, the bylaws have been merged into the appropriate section of the constitution – for example, all provisions relating to the annual meeting can now be found in the same section of the document, whether they are constitutional articles or merely bylaws.
Process
This document was approved at the January 2008 Annual Meeting. Changes to the bylaws that were approved at the meeting became effective immediately; changes to the constitutional text must be ratified by the congregation in January 2009 before becoming effective.
