Deb Herbers, Financial Director, started working for St. John’s in June 2022. Deb was a Family and
Consumer Science (Home Economics) teacher, retiring in 2017. She started teaching in Argyle and
rounded out a 36 year career in public education in Evansville at J.C. McKenna Middle School. She found
herself needing a challenge to keep her mind sharp after retirement and the financial position became
available. The rest is history! She met her husband Jeff while teaching in Argyle and they joined St John’s in 1991 after moving to Evansville from Darlington, WI. They have three married children who grew up at St. John’s and five grandchildren with a sixth on the way. Her hobbies include reading, baking with grands, sewing, quilting, crafting, volunteering for Soul Troop/Faith Corps.
